Bimat is used to lower eye pressure in persons who have glaucoma or high eye pressure. If the pressure in your eye is too high, it might harm your vision and even cause blindness. It works by facilitating the flow of fluid from the interior of the eye into the bloodstream. Bimat is safe for both adults and children, and it can be used alone or in conjunction with other eye medicine to help lower pressure. To receive the best benefit from this medicine, follow your doctor’s recommendations and take it on a regular basis. If you stop using it, the pressure in your eye may rise, causing harm to your vision. If the seal on a bottle is broken before you use it for the first time, don’t use it. If you wear contact lenses, make sure you take them out and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.

Bimat contains an ophthalmic medication called bimatoprost is used to treat raised /increased pressure in the eye. It may lead to an illness called glaucoma. Bimat is used alone or in combination with other drugs. Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged. This damaged nerve leads to an increase in eye pressure abnormally. Bimat contains Bimatoprost, which is a prostaglandin analogue. It is primarily used in treating high pressure in the eye. It works by increasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye) and reducing eye pressure.
PACKAGE & DOSAGE
Bimat is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Bimat. Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Replace the outer cap after use. Do not touch the container’s tip to the eye, eyelids or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Bimat.
